Birthday Fall Haul: Hobby Lobby & TJ Maxx
Hey! I know I have been MIA for a while, but August got crazy really quick! I don't like that blogging goes to the back burner first, but sadly, it does. That explains my absence partially. I've also been bogged down by a lot of personal stuff, and life has been difficult to juggle. Trying to manage anxiety on a high-functioning level doesn't only suck up all of my energy, but breaks every single creative bone in my body.
However, with the impending arrival of my favorite time of year [fall and the holidays!!!], the interest to share my enthusiasm and anticipation of the future has revitalized my will to share and write. Thus, here we are! :)
I've had Autumn on the brain, BAD. I am still waiting for the time and the weather to catch up with me, but in the meantime, I'll be sharing a lot of seasonal goodies and reflections over the next little while. The first small thing is sharing some of the first fall things that I picked up at the local Hobby Lobby and TJ Maxx!
Last was my birthday, and I requested a fall shopping trip on Saturday evening for a gift. Blessedly, my husband knows and accepts my obession when it comes to all things seasonal and holiday, and he lets me do my thing and fly my crazy flag.
We started off the night right by picking up PSLs at our local coffee shop, Baxter's Coffee.
Then we headed over to Hobby Lobby, where I stepped into Fall heaven ...
I was quickly overwhelmed by the selection, as aisles and aisles of fall paraphernalia lied in front of me. I am terrible at decision making, and while I was looking for a nice fall canvas or picture with an appropriate quote or saying to go in our living room for fall decor, I couldn't find one that I loved. But here are the few things that I did pick up:
Harvest White &

Yes, I ordered myself an Erin Condren Planner for my Birthday! YIPPEE!!! :)
Hobby Lobby is one of my favorite stores, and when I see all those holiday things, it makes me all warm and fuzzy on the inside. I can't help it!
After I had sufficiently perused Hobby Lobby in all its glory, we headed over to TJ Maxx.
I am obsessed with this place! You can find such good deals and products on everything, but I especially love the beauty and home sections. I was a little disappointed that they did not have a ton of fall things out, but then I realized it's only mid-August and well, hello. So I tampered my expectations and shopped around, coming out with several treasures!
dw home Honey pumpkin 3 wick candle
Really not a fan, wish I had sprung for the pumpkin cupcake Woodwick! - $12.99
Gray chevron fabric pumpkin
Will put this on my breakfast table! $7.99
Foxy kitchen towels (set of 2)
Are these not the cutest? I am always a sucker for cute kitchen towels! - $4.99
Travel size living proof restore hairspray & cala Rose bliss eye brush trio
I haven't used either of these products yet, but I can't wait to!
Grande Kaffe world of flavors ground coffee in Red Velvet cupcake & cinnamon churro
I picked out the red velvet, Travis picked out the cinnamon churro. I was not impressed with mine at all, but he loves his! I just need to accept that I love nothing but dark roast and just leave it that! - $5.99 each
My birthday weekend was fantastic! I shopped, ate well, and spent quality time with family and friends. I had an amazing time shopping and indulging in fall, but it doesn't hold a candle to being with all the wonderful people in my life. I'm thankful to God for 31 years, and hope I live to see 31 more!
